More flights to Batanes

INQUIRER.net  05/09/2010

MANILA, Philippines—Southeast Asian Airlines (Seair) has announced it just increased flights to Batanes for May 8-31, 2010, offering two to three flights per day within this period.

“The boost in flights will allow more tourists to experience the Batanes spring season in its last month. During this time, the island experiences sunny weather and cool temperatures of as low as 17 degrees Celsius,” Seair said in a news release.

Batanes is one of the top tourist destinations in the country. Rich in natural landscapes and seascapes with green pastures overlooking the sea, windmills on sprawling countryside, and lighthouses guarding immaculate shorelines, this northernmost island treasure is most often likened to European countries like Ireland and Scotland.

Seair also announced its promos for the Batanes summer season (June to August), Boracay non-peak season and Mothers’ Day: One-way tickets to Batanes can be as low as P3,455.20 all-in and one-way tickets to Boracay can be as low as P1,663.20 all-in. Travelers can get a P1,430 discount per roundtrip tickets on any route when booking online at www.FlySeair.com on Mothers’ Day, May 9 to May 15, 2010.

Passengers just need to log on to www.FlySeair.com and type seairmothersday2010 in the promo code field to avail of the Mothers’ Day discount. All of these promos are available for limited seats only for travel on June 16 to October 15, 2010.

Seair has been serving key tourist destinations since 1995, including Boracay, Basco (Batanes), Tablas (Romblon), Marinduque, El Nido, San Fernando (La Union)/ Baguio, Cebu, Clark, Zamboanga, Jolo, and Tawi-tawi. It also offers the most routes to and from Caticlan with flights from Caticlan to Manila, Clark and Cebu.

The nation’s second longest airline and has flown almost 3 million passengers.
