Ten people are reported dead and 20 wounded after an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded during a fiesta celebration in Hilongos, Leyte, Wednesday evening, December 28.

"Ten have been reported dead, 20 injured, according to [Social Welfare] Secretary Judy Taguiwalo," Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said in a statement sent to reporters around 1 am Thursday, December 29.
