Dive resort in Negros among top bed and breakfast places in Asia

Little-known dive resort Liquid Dumaguete in Dauin, Negros Oriental placed 14th in the top 25 Bed and Breakfast (B&Bs) and Inns category of travel website Trip Advisor's 2013 Traveler's Choice Awards, the winners of which were announced last Jan. 16.

Liquid Dumaguete, along with the rest of the winners (which number at over 6,000) were chosen based on millions of traveler reviews on the website.

Reviews of the Dauin resort cited its relaxed atmosphere, sea view rooms, and the dive sites and dive staff.

Other winners in the same category include B&Bs and Inns from Thailand, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and South Korea, with the Baan Malinee Bed and Breakfast in Phuket taking the number one spot.

Top 25 hotels in the Philippines

The awards also ranked the top 25 hotels in the Philippines, with Amanpulo in Palawan being named number one, and majority of the hotels coming from Metro Manila and Boracay.

Nine Metro Manila hotels on the list include Makati Shangri-la (third on the list), Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay (seventh), the Peninsula Manila in Makati which ranked (11th), the Pan Pacific Manila (12th), the Cocoon Boutique Hotel in Quezon City (14th), Vivere Hotel in Muntinlupa (18th), Edsa Shangri-la (19th), The Bayleaf in Manila (20th), and Traders Hotel in Pasay (22nd).

The five ranking Boracay hotels include Shangri-la's Boracay Resort and Spa (second on the list), Discovery Shores (10th), Monaco Suites de Boracay (13th), Boracay Beach Club (15th), and the Regency Lagoon Resort (24th).

Aside from Amanpulo, two other Palawan resorts made the list: El Nido Resorts Miniloc Island which was ranked top nine, and El Nido Resorts Lagen Island which was the top 16th.

The three Cebu resorts on the list include the Radisson Blue Hotel (4th place), Shangri-la's Mactan Resort and Spa (5th place), and Pulchra Resort (6th place).

Two Bohol resorts were also included, namely, Amorita Resort in Panglao Island (top eight), and the Peacock Garden in Baclayon (top 21).

Rounding out the top 25 are the Lighthouse Marina Resort in Subic (17th on the list), and two resorts from Pampanga–Angeles Beach Club Hotel (23rd) and Widus Resort and Casino (25th).

The 2013 Traveler's Choice Awards is the 11th edition of the awards and Trip Advisor's biggest yet.

Liqued Dive resort ,laat zien dat een Basic resort werkt , "Clean , cheap and  a good Service" .
Lekker eten , weinig keuze maar voor een paar pessos eten alle gasten het zelfde .dank zij een dag menu .
De hutten zijn leuk en clean. mooi zicht.
Wel moeilijk om naar toe te rijden als je van de hoofdbaan af gaat , veel stenen ,Tijdens de dag OK , s'nachts om op uw ...... te slagen .
