Hallo iedereen,
Wij gaan in oktober naar de Filippijnen en zouden graag onze hond willen meenemen heeft er iemand ervaring met het meenemen van een hond?

Philippines Pet Passport Regulations

Unless otherwise stated, the regulations below apply to domestic dogs and cats. Owners of other pets should refer to item 10.
1.
Pet Microchip
pet microchipPhilippines does not require that your pet be microchipped with an ISO 11784/11785 pet microchip that is a 15 digit and non-encrypted, however, microchips are an important part of pet identification and will better ensure that you are contacted should your pet be separated from you.

Import Permit

You must obtain an Veterinary Quarantine Clearance to Import from the Bureau of Animal Industry in advance of your pet's arrival. This permit is good for 2 months. The permit must be applied for online or in person.

3.
Vaccinations
vaccinations Unless your pet is entering the Philippines from a country considered to be rabies-free, your pet must have a rabies certificate showing a current rabies vaccination administered at least 30 days but not more than 12 months prior to entry to the Philippines.

If your pet's country of origin is not a country considered to be rabies-free, then a letter must accompany your pet stating that no cases of rabies have been reported within a 12.5 mile (20 kilometer) radius of the point of origin in the last 6 months.

Your dog must also be vaccinated against canine, distemper, infectious hepatitis, leptospirosis, canine parvovirus or and your cat must be vaccinated against feline panleucopenia.

Blood Titer TestThe Philippines does not require a Blood Titer Test (RNATT) for pets entering from any country.

Health Certificate

Within 30 days of entry, the Veterinary Certificate for the Philippines must be completed and stamped (endorsed) by the government of the exporting country responsible for the import and export of animals. If you are traveling from the United States this would be the State USDA office or the CFIA office if traveling from Canada. If you are not traveling from either of these countries, the governing authority in your country responsible for the import and export of animals should endorse the forms.

The health certificate and the import permit should be presented to the Quarantine Officer on duty upon arrival at the airport in Manila, and a fee will be charged for the filing of the permit.

Entering the Philippines by Air
airplane Pets can arrive in Philippines in the cabin or as checked baggage or air cargo at the international airport at Manila.

All domestic dogs and cats must be free of evidence of disease communicable to humans when examined at the port of entry to the Philippines. If your dog or cat is not in apparent good health, further examination by a licensed veterinarian may be required at your expense. Pets not meeting the requirements above or those in ill-health will be home quarantined for 30 days for a cost born by the pet owner.

Puppies and Kittens
Puppy or kitten import to the Philippines Philippines requires that puppies and kittens are 4 month of age and vaccinated for rabies at least 30 days prior to entering the country.

Exporting Pets Living in Philippines
export pets from the Philippines A letter of request must be submitted with the following information: species and breed of your pet, sex, age and number of pets expected date of departure, destination country, address, phone, email address and contact details of importer. A health certificate must be submitted and endorsed by NVQS prior to an export permit being issued.

Other Animals
rabbits turtles other animals Birds of any kind are not permitted to enter the Philippines. Invertebrates, tropical fish, reptiles, amphibia, mammals such as rodents and rabbits are not subject to requirements of rabies vaccination, but may have to meet other requirements and should have a health certificate and an import permit from the Bureau of Animal Industry to enter Philippines. Pet owners are strongly advised to seek further information from the relevant authority of their country and/or that of the country of destination.

11.
CITES
CITES endangered turtle If your pet is not a dog, cat or ferret, and especially if it is a turtle or parrot, you should verify that it is not protected under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).  You will need to apply for additional permits if this is the case. Over 180 countries participate and enforce CITES regulations.
