REYKJAVIK -  In IJsland is het lichaam van voormalig wereldkampioen schaken Bobby Fischer opgegraven. Dna-onderzoek moet uitwijzen of de Amerikaan de vader is van een Fillipijns meisje van negen.



De Filipijnse Jinky Young had een rechtszaak aangespannen om het graf te mogen openen om celmateriaal te verkrijgen dat het bewijs kan leveren dat Fischer inderdaad haar vader is. Zij is een dochter van de vroegere geliefde van de wereldvreemde Amerikaan, die in de jaren zeventig wereldkampioen schaken werd.

Young meent als wettelijk erfgename recht te hebben op (een deel van) de nalatenschap van Fischer. De waarde daarvan wordt geschat op 2 miljoen dollar (ruim 1,6 miljoen euro). Zijn voormalig echtgenote, twee neven en de Amerikaanse belastingdienst hebben ook claims gelegd.

Zo kan je het ook bekijken.

Als ze echter de echte dochter is. Is het niet meer dan normaal dat zij ook aanspraak heeft. Dat zijn de regeltjes toch? 

En dan maakt het niet uit of de dochter is van een Fhilipijnse, Nederlandse, Belgische, Ghanese, Indonesische, of Turkse.

Ik zou het ook doen. Kwestie van schop in de grond. Kan je zelf pappa laten omdraaien in z´n graf.

DNA tests on Bobby Fischer's corpse exclude paternity

REYKJAVIK — DNA tests on former chess champion Bobby Fischer's corpse have shown that he was not the father of a Filipino girl, as claimed by his former lover, an attorney involved in the dispute said on Tuesday.

Fischer's lover had stated that he fathered her daughter, Jinky Young, while living in the Philippines in 2001. In June, Iceland's Supreme Court agreed to her demand that his remains be exhumed to obtain tissue samples and settle the paternity suit.

"I can confirm that the results of the DNA tests show that Bobby Fischer is not the father of the Filipino girl, Jinky Young," said Gudjon Jonsson, a lawyer representing Fischer's two nephews who are also involved in the dispute.

Among evidence produced during the court proceedings was a 2004 photo of Fischer with Jinky and her mother and a postcard to Jinky from Fischer, signed "Daddy."

"This will have the effect that the Filipino girl is out of the legal dispute, and so the next step will be to find out who is the lawful heir of Bobby Fischer," he told Reuters.

Jonsson said the dispute, over who will inherit an estate estimated at around $2 million , over who will inherit an estate estimated at around $2 million, was now between Fischer's nephews, relatives in the United States and a Japanese w oman   who claims she was his wife.

The court case over the long-running inheritance dispute is still before a Reykjavik court and proceedings are expected to continue next month.

In December 2009, the Supreme Court overturned a municipal court decision which had declared the Japanese w oman the rightful heir, saying definite proof of the marriage had not been made available.

Fischer, who spent his last years as a fugitive from U.S. authorities because he defied international sanctions against the former Yugoslavia, spent time in the Philippines and Japan before moving to Iceland, where he was offered citizenship in the mid-2000s.

The former child prodigy became the United States' only world chess champion by defeating Soviet masters, but refused to defend his title and relinquished it to the Soviet champion Anatoly Karpov in 1975.

Fischer died in Reykjavik at the age of 64 after an unspecified illness and was buried near the town of Selfoss, about 60 km (40 miles) east of Reykjavik, in 2008.

Moraal van het verhaal= zelfs in je graf ben je niet veilig voor filippijnse hebzucht.

Het is niet de eerste keer dat dit soort verhalen in de wereld geholpen worden.
Ken je een rijke buitenlander? Zorg dat je zwanger raakt ook al is dat van een pinoy en beschuldiog de buitenlander van  vaderschap zodat die kan dokken.  

Men is echter onschuldig totdat het tegendeel bewezen is, ook in de filippijnen behoort dat zo te zijn.

En wie betaalt nu de schade? Vooral de morele schade?

DNA-analyse is een mooi ding om uitsluitsel te hebben. Nu zal het kind geleerd geweest zijn om hem tijdens de relatie "daddy" te noemen. Die vermelding op een kaartje of brief is louter emotioneel. Ik hoop alleen dat de ontgocheling van de moeder zich niet tegen het kind keert.

Het benoemen van de vriend van de moeder als papa is ook hier een relatief ding.
Het volgende gebeurde eind jaren '70:
Een koppel gaat in scheiding en er zijn drie kinderen uit dat huwelijk. De kleinste was een jaar oud en ging pas enkele jaren na de splitsing met de vader mee als hij de kinderen in het weekeinde ophaalde. Op de vraag waarom hij mee moest, antwoordde de moeder dat hij met zijn vader op weekend ging. "Ja maar die is vanmorgen toch naar zijn werk gegaan!" De vader wist natuurlijk genoeg toen en omdat toen de procedure nog lang duurde en overspel tijdens de procedure de schuldvraag beïnvloedde, werd de moeder binnen de korste keren officieel betrapt.
De vrouw had de gewoonte de kinderen dadelijk elke nieuwe vriend "papa" laten te noemen. Niet dat dat wat uitgehaald heeft want de vent die uiteindelijk de kinderen adopteerde (de biologische vader had geen bezwaar want hij moest niet meer betalen) en grootbracht heeft nooit op veel respect van de kinderen kunnen rekenen.


Wat kunnen we uit de zaak Fischer leren?

Zorg dat je zaken vandaag geregeld zijn! Je kan netjes regelen wie wat krijgt en laat ze niet erover vechten want zelf in het graf heb je dan geen rust. Je kinderen blijven je kinderen en als je de moeder niet vertrouwt, stel dan het vermogen veilig tot het kind (de kinderen) volwassen is (zijn). Maak geen onderscheid tussen kinderen afhankelijk van je relatie met de moeder(s). Ook kinderen uit de eerste, tweede, ... relatie zijn je kinderen.
Ik ken gevallen waar alle geld en goederen naar de  gaan om de kinderen van "die andere" maar niets te laten bekomen. Weekeidje met paps? Vergeet het maar! Persona non grata, ja!

Icelandic court reopens Bobby Fischer's case

MANILA, Philippines — The District Court of Reykjavik, Iceland reopened the case of Jinky Young, the Filipino child of the late Bobby Fischer, to allow her to present more evidence in support of her claim to the estate of the chess legend.

In a ruling during the hearing on September 10, Judge Ingiridur Ludviksdottir reset the case to October 6 to allow Marilyn Young, Jinky's mother, to engage the services of another lawyer after their counsel in Iceland, Thordur Bogason, had a falling out with the Youngs' local lawyer, Sammy Estimo.

Estimo theorized that Bogason had prematurely closed the case without consulting his client after the DNA tests in Germany allegedly showed that Jinky was not the child of Fischer.

He said there were post-DNA remedies available such as a request for a similar test to be conducted on the DNA samples of Fischer's nephews who are also claimants to his estate.

If the test result proves negative, then the 7 tissue samples that were taken from the coffin supposedly containing the remains of Fischer during his exhumation in July would be questionable.

Bogason has withdrawn from Case No. Q-1/2010 during the September 10 hearing.

Estimo added that he discovered a provision of Icelandic law which would have won the case for Jinky but was not used by Bogason.

According to Estimo, the law, plus the bank deposits, post cards signed by Fischer admitting that he was Jinky's father, photos taken in a hotel in Hong Kong, and the expensive house which Fischer bought for Jinky in Davao City could have clinched Jinky's claim to the estate of her father.

If ever Jinky loses at the District Court, she can still appeal to the Supreme Court.

Bogason admitted in his letter to Marilyn dated September 11 that a losing party at the District Court can go to the Supreme Court within 2 weeks from receipt of the lower court's ruling.
