The Filipinos craving for premium culinary experiences has been refined with the influx of international flavors. Although the Pinoy diet still leaves room for the classic lutong bahay cuisine, the local taste buds have developed a certain knack for everything gourmet.

From wine pairing, posh restaurants and culinary travels, people go to extreme lengths in order to experience that fleeting moment of gustatory bliss. In an attempt to bring gourmet meals closer and more accessible to the fine dining populace, the French Baker presents its latest addition to its scrumptious lineup of entrées - the Angus Beef Burger.

Derived from the pure meaty goodness of Angus steak, the Angus Beef Burger retains the same character of the beef and wields it into a form that will satisfy the appetite. The patty is cradled within a freshly baked gourmet bun. It is served with healthy fresh greens and crispy potato wedges,  a mouthwatering special sauce made from the drippings of the Angus patty, and a choice of any hot or cold beverage.

But all of these are just a prelude to the main attraction which is the Angus burger patty. The thick patty of the flame grilled Angus Beef Burger is surprisingly tender. However, the good thing about it is that aside from the juiciness and the strong flavor of the meat, some of the meat grains of the original Angus is preserved adding texture and more zest into each bite.

Although shaped in a form that wouldn't be deemed as gourmet in some standards, the Angus Beef Burger compensates with superior ingredients and well-balanced flavor. A bite out of this dish will confirm that a burger can indeed be gourmet.
