Als au pair naar Nederland?

Mijn Filipijnse vriendin is 25 jaar oud en ik had begrepen dat je tot je 27ste naar Nederland kunt komen als au pair. Weet iemand daar meer van of heeft iemand daar ervaring mee?

Zij moet jonger dan 26 jaar zijn op de dag dat ze haar verblijfsvergunning aanvraagt. Maximale verblijfsduur 1 jaar.

Ban on Au Pairs Bound for Europe Lifted

22 February 2012 - Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert F. del Rosario announced today that the ban on au pairs bound for all European countries has been lifted after the issuance of the new Guidelines on the Departure of Au Pairs to Europe.

Au pairs need not go through the DOLE or POEA procedures anymore, as they are not considered overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

The ban was imposed in 1998 due to isolated cases of abuse of the system by some unscrupulous elements. In 2010, the ban was lifted for Switzerland, Norway and Denmark.

Secretary del Rosario advised prospective au pairs not to go to third party go-betweens since the procedures have been simplified at the least cost for the Filipino au pairs.

At the same time, he warned unscrupulous agencies not to exploit the scheme for their nefarious activities, as any infraction will be dealt with severely by the laws of the host countries and those of the Philippines

M.b.t. Nederland was die ban dus van 1998 tot 22 februari 2012 van kracht.

Een of twee jaar geleden werden er trouwens nog vragen mbt dit onderwerp gesteld in de Nederlandse Tweede Kamer o.a. n.a.v. een tv-reportage omdat de Nederlandse overheid toen nog tegenwerkte of niet mee wilde werken met de Filipijnse overheid.

Wat is het beste om je vriendin zelf een familie te regelen of via een agentschap zoals u-aupair http://www.u-aupair.com/home/? Wat denken jullie?
Heeft iemand advies of ervaring met u-aupair?
Verder wil mijn vriendin beste vriendin ook wel in Nederland werken moet ik daar ook mee bemoeien of is het beter van niet?
