Air Belgium kiest voor luchthaven Charleroi

Air Belgium zal zijn geplande vluchten richting China uitvoeren vanop de luchthaven van Charleroi. Die zal een terminal aanpassen aan de noden van de langeafstandspassagiers, zo is woensdag bekendgemaakt tijdens een persconferentie van beide partijen op Brussels South Charleroi Airport. De komst van Air Belgium moet zeshonderd extra banen opleveren op de luchthaven van Charleroi.
Air Belgium vertrouwt erop dat het zijn vlieglicentie (AOC) op tijd rond zal krijgen om eind maart de lucht in te kunnen gaan. De eerste bestemming zal Hongkong zijn, gevolgd door andere Chinese/Aziatische bestemmingen.

Midden februari verwacht de luchtvaartmaatschappij haar eerste van vier Airbus A340-300-vliegtuigen.


Op de luchthaven zal de huidige Terminal Sud omgebouwd worden tot een "premium"-terminal, om de premium- en businessclassreizigers van Air Belgium te ontvangen. De werkzaamheden beginnen eind mei en zullen een jaar duren. Tot dan komen er tijdelijke oplossingen "om het comfort van de reizigers al vanaf de eerste vluchten te verzekeren".

De komst van de nieuwe maatschappij moet zeshonderd banen opleveren: driehonderd voor Air Belgium en driehonderd voor de luchthaven.

PAL, Cebu Pacific unit ready to refund terminal fees for unused tickets

MANILA - Philippine Airlines and a Cebu Pacific unit said Tuesday they were ready to refund terminal fees collected from passengers who failed to make their flights.

Airport terminal fees have been included in the cost of airline tickets for several years now.

PAL said it preferred to return the money immediately because keeping it would mean additional accountability.

CebGo president and CEO Alexander Lao meanwhile said the airline was ready to return the fees, but tracking and contacting every client eligible for a refund would be difficult.

"We collected on behalf of government, this is not our money and that is clear to us," Lao said.

"One of the limitations is when people buy tickets, it's through many means: Credit card is easier to return. Yung iba sa travel agent, yung iba, bayad ng cash (Some go through travel agents, some pay in cash)," he said.

Some P250 million in collected fees from tickets of cancelled flights were "accounted for," he said.

PAL expands Davao hub services via flights to Siargao


PHILIPPINE AIRLINES·MAANDAG 5 MAART 2018
As part of its continuing expansion in the "King City of the South", 4-Star carrier Philippine Airlines will launch maiden flights between Davao and Siargao, the "International Surfing Capital of the Philippines" via a four times (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) weekly service beginning March 25, 2018.
The upcoming service between Davao City, located in the Southern Philippine island of Mindanao and Siargao Island, situated in the province of Surigao del Norte, is in support of the government's goal to further ramp up the promotion of top travel spots in Southern Philippines.
PAL Senior Assistant Vice- President for Visayas and Mindanao Sales and Services Harry D. Inoferio said, "Avid Lovers of sun, sea , diving , international game fishing and surfing can take PAL's Manila - Davao, Cebu - Davao or Clark-Davao flights and enjoy the King City of the South for a few days before taking a short hop to the beautiful and sparkling jewel island paradise of Siargao."
Visitors will also discover that Siargao is home to Our Lady of the Mount Carmel Parish in the Municipality of Del Carmen, Surigao Del Norte established in 1635, listed as among the oldest outposts of Christianity in Mindanao and the oldest Parish of the Diocese of Surigao.
The airline will utilize its all-new state of the art Bombardier Q400 Next Generation aircraft for the sought-after route which is expected to boost economic and tourism activities between the islands in Mindanao.
"We envision Davao to become a major hub in our network in the years to come that will spur tremendous economic and tourism activities in the region," Inoferio adds.
Also on March 25, PAL will begin operating daily flights between Davao and Tagbilaran from the current four times weekly offering. PAL's Mindanao hub also links Davao to Cebu, Zamboanga and Cagayan de Oro.
PAL has been ramping up its sales campaign by way of Introductory Fares as low as PHP1K plus for a round trip flight between Davao and Siargao running until April 15, 2018.

Was iets voor mij , heb daar abnormaal veel last van ....Tegen dat ik terug normaal ben , moet ik al weer terug. Pfff , blijf gewoonlijk wel maar 10 a 12 dagen in  . Gek genoeg ,terug in de  heb ik er heel weinig tot geen last van.
