Elke filipino die naar het buitenland vertrekt moet telkens 1620 peso departure tax betalen , de 'foreigners' moeten dat niet betalen.
Over deze 'discriminatie' is er minder verontwaardiging.

oplossing ... althans wat mijn geval betreft ..als ik sigaretten wil laat ik mn vrouw die kopen .. dat scheelt me al een paar peso dus op een slof kan dat al een beetje tellen
ik had al snel door dat .. als ik een winkel binnenga met mijn wit vel dat alle prijskaartjes direkt omdraaien ( ik denk zelfs dat het in sommige winkels automatisch gaat want ik had het niet eens gezien ) dus laat ik mijn asawa de boodschapjes doen .... kwestie van het vakantiebudget wat binnen de perken te houden ....

Uw toeristenvisa verlengen in de Filipijnen kost veel meer dan PHP1620!

Voor een verblijf  tot 3 weken is geen visum nodig voor een BE of NL
Voor een verblijf tot 59 dagen kost een visum 30â,¬ , enkel te betalen als het toegekend wordt , wordt eigenlijk steeds toegestaan.
Een Filipino die als toerist naar hier wil komen moet 60 â,¬ betalen voor de aanvraag , toegekend of niet.
En de kans op toekenning is zéér klein.

Een Filipino die naar het buitenland gaat wordt dan ook beschouwd als een halve buitenlander, een balikbayan, een melkkoe.

Mijn vrouw moest niets betalen als wij de luchthaven verlieten om naar amsterdam te vliegen. Ik daarentegen moest een exit fee betalen. Iedereen met een acr en permanent visa moet dokken bij het verlaten van het land. Als toerist moet je inderdaad niets. Er is wel een verschil tussen touristen en inwoners.

Ja sinds 2009 hoeft dat niet meer voor Filipinos met een buitenlands paspoort. Ik ben niet zeker maar ik denk dat OFW's nog steeds een exit clearance moeten betalen.

Bureau of Immigration scraps exit fees for Pinoys with foreign passports

MANILA, Philippines - Immigration Commissioner Marcelino Libanan has ordered his officers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to stop collecting exit clearance fees from departing Filipino passengers who hold foreign passports.

Libanan issued the directive in a memorandum order he issued last April 17 to immigration officials at the NAIA and other international airports and subports nationwide.

Libanan issued the order following complaints from Filipino travelers who were required to pay the exit fees after presenting their foreign passports to immigration departure counters at the NAIA.

The travelers are either natural-born former Filipinos who reacquired their Philippine citizenship under the dual citizenship act or foreigners who were recognized as Filipinos under the 1987 and 1935 Constitutions.

According to the Bureau of Immigration, the exit fee per passenger costs more than P1,200 and is normally collected from departing foreign tourists and holders of immigrant and non-immigrant visas.

In his order, Libanan directed the immigration officers not to collect exit fees from departing passengers who are holders of identification certificates issued by the BI even if they are using foreign passports.

An identification certificate is issued by the BI to a foreigner who was granted dual citizenship under Republic Act 9225 or whose petition for recognition as a Philippine citizen was approved by the BI and affirmed by the Department of Justice.
